A Real Barn Wedding

twenty minutes from Amory

TWENTY MINUTES NORTH OF AMORY

AMORY, MS · OUR ROOM, YOUR DAY

Why Amory couples choose The Stables of Harp Farm.

Most barn weddings in Monroe County happen in someone's hay barn with a rented tent next to it. The Stables of Harp Farm gives Amory couples a real, climate-controlled, fully accessible 6,000 square foot barn that started life as a riding stable in the 1980s and was rebuilt for events with the original beams still in place.

Twenty minutes up Highway 25, in Smithville, you get the genuine barn aesthetic with HVAC, real bathrooms, and an Amish-built carriage parked at the door. The chapel is outdoors under the trees with built-in pews, and the cottage on site has two bedrooms for the bride and her people.

If you have been looking at converted-warehouse venues in Tupelo and decided the photographs do not look like home, this is the room. Amory couples consistently say the same thing on the tour: the place actually feels like the Mississippi they grew up in.

FREQUENTLY ASKED

Questions from Amory families.

Is it really climate-controlled, or just fans in the rafters?

Real HVAC. The barn holds 72 degrees in July heat and January cold. The cottage is also fully heated and cooled.

How many guests can the venue hold?

The Stables seats roughly 250 guests at round tables for a plated dinner, or up to 300 theater-style for a ceremony or program. The cottage handles intimate gatherings of 20 to 40, and the outdoor chapel seats 150 on pews.

What is included in the rental?

Every booking includes tables, white linens, chiffon-covered chairs, the pews at the chapel, the in-house sound system, and the handmade Amish carriage that doubles as a getaway car or a photo set piece. You bring the caterer; we hand you a list of locals who already know the kitchen.
