ABOUT AN HOUR FROM WINFIELD, AL
WINFIELD, AL · OUR ROOM, YOUR DAY
Why Winfield couples choose The Stables of Harp Farm.
Winfield couples have a shorter drive to The Stables of Harp Farm than to most of the Birmingham-area venues. The Mississippi line is forty minutes west on Highway 78, and the farm sits twenty minutes past it on Highway 25, in Smithville.
The barn is climate-controlled, 6,000 square feet, and built into the bones of a 1980s riding stable. Seven semi-private dining stables, white linens, chiffon chairs, an Amish-built carriage at the door, and the in-house sound system are all included in the rental.
The outdoor chapel sits under the trees a short walk from the barn door, and the cottage out back is a 1953 farmhouse for the bridal party. The whole day lives on one property, which Marion County families appreciate when the guest list is split between Alabama and Mississippi.
